Curious what people think. Just moved here 6 months ago and The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. Median household income is $207,609, which feels pretty solid for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for Belmont? Thanks for reading.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from New York about 9 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is improving.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
