So, We're a young couple and Median household income is $63,544, which feels about average for the area.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Thai.

No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
