What surprised you most about Beltsville?

OK so Poverty rate is 8.5%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What do you all think? Appreciate any input. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 8 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
