Things that make Belvedere Park unique

Longtime lurker here, Military spouse here. Crime rate is something to consider -Belvedere Park sits at 148.2 per 100K. Poverty rate is 12.0%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $266,000 on average. It's a a small town city with about 14,422 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from San Diego about 7 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is decent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
