Is Benbrook a good place to live?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $82,148 in Benbrook. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 3 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely decent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Sunset) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
