How much do you pay for rent in Bend?

Hey everyone, Just moved here 18 months ago and It's a a mid-size city city with about 101K people. Homes are going for about $646,800 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots? Any help is appreciated. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely excellent and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Midtown) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
