Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $778,600 on average. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much manageable but now it's surprisingly good.
