Freelancing from Benicia -experience?

Hey folks, I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $125,040 in Benicia. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,861 people. The median home value here is around $778,600, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $2,234/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've lived in Highland for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The school system scene is solid

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..
