Alright, I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $185,100 on average. Median household income is $53,839, which feels on the lower side for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 10 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.
