I'm originally from Memphis and Poverty rate is 6.7%, which is pretty low. With a population of 18,576, Bensenville is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Bensenville sits at 93.4 per 100K. Homes are going for about $259,300 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in marketing. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Hope this helps!.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Old Town for 7 years. Moved from San Diego for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
retail is strong here. government is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Road conditions need improvement. And healthcare can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 6/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
