Why I chose Benton over bigger cities
I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $199,400, which is actually reasonable. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,954 people. With a population of 35,954, Benton is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,003/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Should I be concerned? TIA! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
