Worst things about Bentonville nobody talks about

Curious what people think. Median household income is $108,465, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $370,700, which seems about average. Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,238/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What would you do? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Riverside for 10 years. Moved from Miami for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Bugs and humidity in summer. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 8/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Moved here from Austin about 12 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to school system but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Nashville it's tough.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much developing but now it's surprisingly good.
