Curious what people think. Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $289,200 on average. It's a a small town city with about 15,084 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Seattle it's better than expected.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
