Hey, I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $48,819 in Berry. Crime rate is something to consider -Berry sits at 331.4 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Lack of diversity
- Far from major airports
Am I wrong here? Thanks in advance! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The dating scene is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for school and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The school system is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from LA about 10 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
