Anyone else love living in Berwick?

Been meaning to ask this. The median home value here is around $135,000, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Berwick sits at 232.8 per 100K. Poverty rate is 18.6%, which is higher than I expected. The city has invested a lot in new development. Should I be concerned? The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
