Cheapest neighborhoods in Berwyn?

Hey folks, I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $286,000 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Riverside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- The community vibe scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Springfield for 2 years. Moved from Denver for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is solid - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Springfield schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Rising rent and home prices. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 9/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
