Grocery stores in Berwyn -recommendations?

Just moved here 3 months ago and It's a a smaller city city with about 55,888 people. Poverty rate is 8.3%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $75,235 in Berwyn. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. Cheers. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely pretty good and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Sunset) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much reasonable but now it's challenging.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Boston about 4 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Midtown for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The dating scene scene is decent

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Hope this helps!.
