Anyone work in healthcare in Bethlehem?

Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 77,069, Bethlehem is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Bethlehem sits at 281.2 per 100K. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely tough and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a sales manager and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
