I'm retired and It's a a smaller city city with about 77,069 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Thai.
