Is Bettendorf worth moving to in 2026?

First post here. I'm a 51-year-old HR manager and It's a a smaller city city with about 39,297 people. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I overthinking this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
