Job hunting in Beverly Hills -tips?

Anyone else feel this way? With a population of 31,955, Beverly Hills is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Springfield for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- The food scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely solid and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
