Anyone work in healthcare in Bigfork?

Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 18 years and The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 44--F, so bundle up in winter. Median household income is $82,648, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 5,249 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely underrated and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Westside) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a electrician, 24, moved here 6 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in North and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Lots of new development happening
2. Four distinct seasons
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The food scene situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for young professionals. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
