Freelancing from Binghamton -experience?

Been meaning to ask this. The unemployment rate is 5.5%, which is about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 47,357 people. Median household income is $44,331, which feels on the lower side for the area. The median home value here is around $117,400, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
