Most overrated things about Biscayne Park

So, I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 1.1%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,615 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Biscayne Park sits at 189.3 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Has anyone dealt with this? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely average and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Uptown) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
