Best areas to explore in Bismarck?
Random thought, Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Pittsburgh it's pretty good.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Minneapolis about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are stable, gas is improving.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
