OK so Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 4.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $99,602 in Bixby. You can expect to pay around $1,324 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in legal. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'm a data analyst and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Sunset for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- The weather scene is average
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..
