Worst things about Blacklick Estates nobody talks about
Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 8,867 people. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $70,869 in Blacklick Estates. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Pine Hills for 7 years. Moved from San Francisco for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is improving - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Limited shopping options. And job market can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 8/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
