Internet providers in Blacksburg?

First post here. I'm a remote worker and Household incomes average around $48,070 in Blacksburg. Homes are going for about $417,200 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'm a data analyst and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in West area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely decent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (The Heights) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Sunset for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The dating scene scene is tough

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Old Town. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in legal. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Hope this helps!.
