Hi all, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 8.6%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,290/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much wild but now it's improving.

Used to live on the Fairview side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Springfield area are underrated. Kids love it here.
