First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 13.9%, which is around average. You can expect to pay around $852 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I wrong here? Cheers.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much stable but now it's better than expected.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 12 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.
