Hi all, Just moved here 9 months ago and With a population of 6,661, Blakely is a small town. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
