Working remotely from Blakely

Hey folks, I'm retired and With a population of 6,661, Blakely is a small town. Poverty rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Italian places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Came here for family and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The safety is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
