OK so My partner and I are Homes are going for about $198,800 on average. The median home value here is around $198,800, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Bloomington sits at 495.5 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 78,703 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Eastside. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Thai.
Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
