Random thought, I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $198,800 on average. Rent is about $1,004/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 8.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Bloomington sits at 495.5 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great. Thanks! The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
