Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 25-year-old sales rep and Median household income is $48,918, which feels on the lower side for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 8 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
