How is the nightlife in Bloomington?

OK so My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,526/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Bloomington sits at 236.3 per 100K. The median home value here is around $346,200, which seems about average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Portland it's hit or miss.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The outdoor recreation scene is tough

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
