Remote worker thinking about Blue Island

Longtime lurker here, You can expect to pay around $1,071 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 7.8%, which is concerning. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much affordable but now it's pretty good.
