Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2020. With a population of 59,416, Blue Springs is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Blue Springs sits at 178.7 per 100K. Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:

- Low crime in most areas
- Close to nature
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Cold winters
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Pittsburgh it's hit or miss.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is pretty good in most areas.
