Blue Springs vs Tampa -which is better?
First post here. I'm single, late 50s, and Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 59,416 people. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Blue Springs sits at 178.7 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
Pros:
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development
- Walkable downtown
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Sprawl everywhere
Has anyone dealt with this? Looking forward to hearing from you all. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
