Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $652,000 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Cheers. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Boston about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is average.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Baltimore about 14 years ago. The main reasons were school and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Feel free to reach out with questions..
