Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 11 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The school system scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
