Anyone else feel this way? I work in finance and Crime rate is something to consider -Boaz sits at 369.3 per 100K. The median home value here is around $158,200, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $158,200 on average. Median household income is $49,962, which feels on the lower side for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
