So, I've been here for 3 years and Household incomes average around $120,094 in Bohemia. It's a a small town city with about 9,306 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Bohemia sits at 22.0 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
