OK so My partner and I are Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $329,200, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $97,620 in Bon Air. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Would love some local perspective. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a writer and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is average and there's always something going on.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much wild but now it's decent.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.
