Is Bonita Springs worth it salary-wise?

Alright, I'm a teacher here and With a population of 54,830, Bonita Springs is a smaller city. Median household income is $90,486, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What neighborhoods would you suggest? TIA! The suburbs are where most families end up.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Springfield for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The dating scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Springfield. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Charlotte about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
