Moving to Bonita Springs for work -advice?

Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. Rent is about $1,809/month for a decent place. Median household income is $90,486, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The community vibe is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in The Heights area are underrated. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much affordable but now it's challenging.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great Asian places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Miami, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 11 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
