Remote worker thinking about Bonita Springs

Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs?

I work in manufacturing here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is challenging. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 8 years. Moved from San Francisco for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited entertainment options. Bugs and humidity in summer. And job market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 9/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor recreation is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
