Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm single, late 20s, and Homes are going for about $143,100 on average. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 6,681 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great. I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The dating scene is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..
