I relocated for work and It's a a smaller city city with about 62,832 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Bossier City sits at 790.8 per 100K. Average temperature is around 68--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $192,300 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Riverside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- The public transit scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

- The walkability scene is excellent
The downsides:

- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Highland area are pretty good. Kids love it here.
