Unpopular opinion about Boswell

Hi all, I'm a 37-year-old electrician and The median home value here is around $86,300, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 1,413, Boswell is a small town. Rent is about $667/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $48,500 in Boswell. You can expect to pay around $667 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Easy commute
- Walkable downtown
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Sprawl everywhere
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
- Chain restaurants dominate
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for reading. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The weather is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely improving and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Fairview) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
